Risk management process

  1. Identify objectives of the risk management program.
  2. Identify risk exposures.
  3. Assess the severity and probability of identified risk exposures.
  4. Identify options for mitigating risk exposures (exposure avoidance, exposure reduction, risk retention, and / or risk transfer).
  5. Select the most appropriate options for mitigating risk exposures.
  6. Implement risk management program.
  7. Monitor and update risk management program as appropriate.
